Formulation Guidelines
  • Suggested final formulation pH 4 - 7
  • Add to water phase prior to emulsification
  • Ensure it is completely solubilized before continuing the formula
  • When dissolved
  • the pH will drop to around 4. Once solubilized
  • adjust pH before adding pH sensitive ingredients
  • Use of carbomer thickener not recommended
  • When using a polymeric thickener requiring neutralization
  • first neutralize polymer
  • then add Sallic-210
  • then bring pH back up to thicken the polymer
  • When using a polymeric thickener that does not require neutralization
  • solublize the Sallic-210 prior to dispersing the polymer
  • Keep in mind for cleansing systems that the Sallic-210 may contribute to overall salts in the system
